When I and my family went to New York City in 2018 summer, we discovered a delicious breakfast food I'd never had before: waffles. As you know, I'm in love with almost any type of food. When we came back home, I asked my husband if we could get a waffle maker for Christmas. He said yes, but it had to be a specific kind. It needed to be non-stick and also special plates that were double hot — which is what makes them unique from regular waffles! Waffle makers with double hot plates cook the batter twice. The first time around, you get the substance of the waffle (crispy on the outside and soft on the inside) and the second time around you get that characteristic divot across the center that leaves you with those pretty lattice lines we all love about waffles. I love it!

Waffle is a waffle cake, originating in northern Europe. Generally served either with a savory filling, such as onion, egg, or bacon; or with dessert toppings such as powdered sugar and fruit compotes. More elaborate versions are used to feature ice cream and whipped cream. It is usually eaten hot, often accompanied by cold milk.
Honestly, my favorite version is sweet: decorated with chocolate and sprinkles or Waffle Vanilla with ice cream..... drives me crazy in the summer! They are so good!!!
Waffles are very versatile. They are usually associated with breakfast, however, you can use them for so much more than that. For example, you can make waffle ice-cream cones, transform them into chips and dip them in chocolate and have a dessert party or make mini-cakes out of them!
