Pecan pie is a typical American pecan pie made mainly on Thanksgiving Day or during the holiday season. It has been around since the early 1800s and usually consists of three parts: pecans in the bottom crust, cream cheese filling in the middle layer, and whipped topping on top.
You should know that I discovered this cake thanks to a dear friend, who brought home the spirit of Thanksgiving Day (and many other things) after being in America for a long time. And so, as she told me about the traditional recipe she learned and liked so much back home, I couldn't resist trying it and making it. What makes Pecan Pie unique? The base consists of the Pie Crust, which is widely used for pies and tarts. It's not just for pies but tarts, cookies, biscuits, etc.; if you like caramel and nuts (like me), this is for you!
It is a delicious cake and has become a tasty and hearty recipe all year round. If you haven't tried Pecan Pie, I highly recommend it. It's a perfect dessert, and It goes well with a scoop of Vanilla Ice Cream or whipped cream topping.
I Love it!
