Macarons Passion

There are many different theories about the origin of macarons. One is which seems to be the most accredited, states that macarons were invented by nuns. According to this legend a group of nuns living in a convent took refuge during the French Revolution in Cormery, in Poitou. They ate chestnuts and almonds and mixed them with egg whites and sugar to create "macaron." This is how the name comes from: it was the name of one of their leaders 'Mother Macaron'.

For exemple I love pink macarons to decorate my cupcakes, and I use these macarons silicone mold frequently.
Also my friend Pamela Cake Planner use these molds for her sweets and cakes! They are very cute and easy to use.
Silicone molds are a great investment even for those of us who mostly make cookies. There are many ways to use them: as a mold for chocolate, a mold for fondant, or a mold for gelatin mousse. A flexible silicone mold can really come in handy when you're making sweets!
